# Omnibus, built on TrustGraph

One app using core TrustGraph, with its own separate app layer.

**Note**
**Omnibus app layer.** These are Omnibus’s own services, built on top of TrustGraph. They are not part of the core TrustGraph API. If you want to build on them, [reach out](mailto:hello@rebellion.systems?subject=TrustGraph%20integration).

## What Omnibus uses from TrustGraph

Omnibus binds a device key to a persona, lets people declare vouches, and uses reachability to check connections through the graph. These are core TrustGraph capabilities that other applications can integrate directly.

- [Bind a device](/api/bind) to authorize actions for a persona.
- [Declare a vouch](/concepts/vouches) to express a directed relationship.
- [Query reachability](/concepts/reachability-and-proofs) and verify the evidence locally.

## Omnibus’s own services

Omnibus adds Feed, encrypted posts and files, Nearby, profile vault and messaging alongside its use of the core platform. See [Omnibus app-layer services](/ecosystem/omnibus/app-layer) for the separately scoped contracts and how to discuss access.

## Choices made by the app

Omnibus adds its own interface and local storage behavior. Its reminders and “something new” indicator are app experiences, not platform guarantees. Availability depends on the app release.

Other clients define their own interface, local storage, sign-out and backup behavior. To build your own integration with the core platform, start with [early access](/early-access) and the [quickstart](/quickstart).
